“A K-Way Jacket Torn to Shreds”

I had a baby blue K-Way jacket growing up; CH had a red one. I remember stuffing it into that convenient little pouch and wearing it around my waist. It was all the rage. Ahhh sweet nostalgia. K-Way jackets have been around since 1965 (who knew?) and in the last couple of years, I’ve noticed another resurgence of the classic coat as it’s popped here and there. Its most recent incarnation however, is in sneaker form.

New Balance reinterpreted the classic jacket, combining K-Way’s sealed, waterproof nylon with suede accents for the new U420 trainers. The collaboration also produced a signature anorak with new details such as contrast striped zip taping and dual branded chest details (not pictured).

The headline is courtesy of Canadian band Stars from the song “Soft Revolution.”
